Children under the age of 6 travel free of charge, while children aged 6 - 16 pay half price. For longer journeys on Lake Lucerne, it is worth purchasing a children's day ticket for CHF 12.00 in 2nd class or CHF 16.00 in 1st class. The Junior Card for children aged 6 - 16 is valid on all scheduled boat services.
Junior Card / Children's Co-travelcard
Children with the Junior Card travel free of charge for one year on all scheduled trips when accompanied by a parent. With the Children's Co-travelcard, a child from the age of six up to their 16th birthday travels free of charge by train, bus and boat when accompanied by a parent. The parent or companion needs a valid ticket. Only on sale at Lucerne and Weggis stations or at all SBB points of sale.

The boat is an easy and pram-friendly way to reach hiking trails around Lake Lucerne or the valley stations of the mountain railroads to Klewenalp, Rigi or Bürgenstock.
