This engineering feat dating back to 1905 breaks several records. With a vertical height of 153 meters, the Hammetschwand Lift is the highest free-standing elevator in Europe. Combine the beautiful journey by boat & Bürgenstock Railway with the Hammetschwand Lift and enjoy the panorama from the viewing platform high above Lake Lucerne.
