The famous Rütli meadow lies directly above Lake Uri and is considered the birthplace of the Swiss Confederation. It is also the starting point of the Swiss Path.
Tell Chapel / Tellsplatte

Located right on the shore, the Tell Chapel commemorates the legend of William Tell. Seen from the boat, this site unfolds its full impact between rock, water and history.

The distinctive rock at the entrance to Lake Uri is only accessible by water and is one of the iconic landmarks along the route. As a monument to Friedrich Schiller, it is closely linked to the story of William Tell.
Swiss Path along the rocky shoreline

Along Lake Uri, the Swiss Path runs partly over rock arches, wooden walkways and steps carved into the hillside. This combination of landscape and history is particularly impressive when viewed from the boat.
Reuss Delta and Flüelen

At the southern end of Lake Uri, the landscape opens up at the Reuss delta. Reeds, wetlands and the mountain panorama around Flüelen create a striking contrast to the rugged shores further north.
